Kavinace Ultra PM Review, Price & Where to Buy?

UPDATE: The manufacturer of Kavinace Ultra PM has discontinued production of this product following a warning letter from the FDA complaining that the supplement contains an unapproved ingredient: phenibut. You can read more about it and find an alternative in this post.

There are many supplements that claim to reduce anxiety and calm you down, but unlike powerful prescription medications, most natural supplements have little to no noticeable effect, and usually don’t work for everyone.

Kavinace Ultra PM is one of the most popular non-Rx products that has remarkable results against anxiety and stress, and it seems to have a higher success rate than many other supplements, judging by its mostly positive customer feedback.

This is a short review of Kavinace Ultra PM, discussing its ingredients, benefits, price and some of the best places where you can purchase this product.

What is Kavinace Ultra PM?

Kavinace Ultra PM is an over-the-counter supplement manufactured by US-based NeuroScience. It is used to reduce anxiety and stress, and to promote relaxation and better sleep.

This isn’t exactly a dietary supplement, because it contains a synthetic chemical called phenibut, which is treated as a drug. Phenibut (4-amino-3-phenylbutyric acid) is an analogue/derivative of GABA: a naturally-occurring amino acid and neurotransmitter.

GABA on its own is also used as a supplement to promote relaxation and calmness, but it has a limited effect because it does not cross the blood-brain barrier. Phenibut, on the other hand, does cross the blood-brain barrier and has a more noticeable anti-anxiety effect.

These are the active ingredients in Kavinace Ultra PM:

  • Melatonin
  • 4-amino-3-phenylbutyric acid HCl (phenibut)
  • 5-hydroxytryptophan (5-HTP)

Each serving (1 capsule) contains 3mg of melatonin and a proprietary blend of phenibut and 5-HTP (650mg, combined).

What Are the Benefits of Kavinace Ultra PM?

This supplement’s primary effects include reduced anxiety, improved mood, calmness, relaxation and better ability to fall asleep.

You should keep in mind that results and efficacy may vary from one user to another. For example, while phenibut has an anxiolytic and sedative effect on most people, some consumers reported experiencing a stimulatory effect that made it harder for them to fall asleep.

Is Kavinace Ultra PM Safe?

When taken as directed, this supplement is well-tolerated and does not normally have any significant side effects.

One important thing you need to know about phenibut is that if it is taken in high doses on a regular basis (more than 1000mg daily), it can cause dependence due to withdrawal symptoms. To avoid that, it is recommended to take a maximum of one capsule daily.

It is also advised not to mix phenibut with alcohol or other antidepressant/sedative drugs.

How Much Does it Cost?

This isn’t a cheap supplement. Most online stores sell it at $50-60 per bottle (30 capsules).

Despite the premium price point, many consumers seek to buy this brand formula because it is proven to work and recommended by many happy customers.

If you are looking for a cheaper alternative, you can easily source the same ingredients at a much lower price from other brands. Both melatonin and 5-HTP are widely available at online and local supplement stores. Phenibut is harder to source, since it is not a dietary supplement, but you can still buy it at a low price from nootropics vendors.

Kavinace Ultra PM on Amazon?

Nope, you can’t buy Kavinace Ultra PM on Amazon. That’s because it contains phenibut, which Amazon no longer allows to be sold on their website, alongside many other nootropic drugs they’ve recently banned.

Where to Buy Kavinace Ultra PM?

There are several online vendors that carry this supplement. One of the best places you can order it from is Pure Formulas. They seem to keep a large stock of this product, so if you come back in a month or two to reorder, you probably won’t have to search for another seller again! You can also find it at iHerb.
